ON-DEMAND SESSION: MAGIC Pop-Up Orlando - Know Before You Go

In this 30 minute session, Kelly Helfman, Commercial President of Informa Markets Fashion and Kevin Thornton, North America VP of Operations at Informa Markets share an informational overview of MAGIC Pop-Up Orlando, including top trends and brands at the event, expected onsite safety, walk-through and ease of testing and most importantly, dedicated time for the audience to ask specific questions related to the event.

COVID-19 Testing - General Questions

Yes, providing a negative COVID-19 test is required to enter the show floor.

Yes pre-testing is encouraged and can be administered on, or after, Friday, February 5.

Pre-test results will be accepted from the following testing sites: American Family Care (AFC), Costco/AZOVA, CVS Health, Discovery Health MD, GoHealth Urgent Care, Walgreens or any State Approved Testing Facility.

U.S. Mobile Health Exams will provide onsite testing services at MAGIC Pop-Up Orlando.  Based in Jacksonville, FL, U.S. Mobile Health Exams is a *CLIA certified mobile health testing service that is approved to administer the BinaxNOWTM COVID-19 Ag Card rapid test. USMHE is managed under the care of Medical Director Brian W. Maziarz, M.D.

BinaxNOW COVID-19 Ag Card test through Abbott Laboratories.

Abbott Laboratories has supplied 25,000 of its *BinaxNOWTM COVID-19 Ag Card rapid test kits. BinaxNOWTM is a portable, rapid test intended for the qualitative detection of nucleocapsid protein antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in nasal swabs from individuals suspected of COVID-19. Test delivers results in under 15 minutes with demonstrated sensitivity of 97.1% and specificity of 98.5% in clinical study.

Yes, you should be registered to attend at least one of the 3 events to be tested.

MAGIC Pop-Up Orlando, OFFPRICE and WWIN will all require that you are badged individually for each event, to be tested onsite you'll need to display at least a badge from one of these events.

All guests will need to provide a negative COVID-19 test result in order to gain entry to the event floor.

Per directive of Abbott, our test manufacturer, and Orlando Health, our medical health partner, individuals who have been infected with the COVID-19 virus more than 30 days prior will NOT test positive with the BinaxNOW rapid antigen test we are administering onsite, unlike many other tests. As an extra precaution, it is recommend that individuals traveling to Orlando take a rapid antigen test (not a PCR test) prior to arriving onsite to confirm they do not currently have the COVID-19 virus.

All 3 co-located events - MAGIC Pop-Up Orlando, WWIN and OFFPRICE - will offer limited attendance hours from 8am to 9am each day for high risk attendees. 

In order to provide the highest level of safety and per recommendation from our health partners, we do require all guests to provide a negative COVID -19 test result in order to enter the show floor. For those that do not want to test on-site, we recommend pretesting prior to your arrival in Orlando.

Yes, all those planning to attend our event will need to either test onsite or pre-test prior to arrival, and produce a negative COVID-19 test in order to enter the show floor.

Due to COVID testing requirements specific to MAGIC Pop-Up Orlando, children over the age of 13 are permitted to attend, but will require a negative COVID test in order to enter the show floor.  Testing can be done either before arrival, with proof of negative results, or can be done on-site.  Please check our Health and Safety page for more information on testing.  Children under the age of 13 are strongly encouraged not to attend. 

Yes, the testing area will be accessible and will be ADA compatible.

On-site testing is free of charge for anyone registered for any three of the three events, MAGIC Pop-Up Orlando, OFFPRICE or WWIN.  

No, all on-site testing is free of charge and does NOT require insurance. For pre-testing, please contact your insurance provider for more information.

You can share the information with your doctor on your own. The event organizers will not have access to your data or test results.

No, guests will only need to produce ONE negative COVID-19 test result in order to enter the show floor.

Should a guest who has previous provided a negative COVID test result misplace their wristband during the event, they will be directed to the testing site Customer Service Desk – located in West Concourse, Hall WD1 - where they will need to provide proof of a negative test result from the NAVICA app (or previous self-test) in order to obtain a replacement wristband.

No, you will receive one health screening wristband and wristbands must be worn for the duration of the event.

Yes. No Personal Health Information (PHI) will be shared with any other parties and your PHI is your own private information to discuss or share at your own discretion.

While no test is 100% accurate, the Abbott Test has a success rate within the 97th percentile (under 3% for false results).

If you miss your appointment you may re-schedule or proceed to the walk-in line/check-in desk located in the West Concourse, Hall WD2.  

Let the check-in desk know of your situation.

If you are unable to set-up an appointment prior to your arrival, Informa Markets Fashion ambassadors will be readily available both at the Hyatt and Rosen Plaza at the Help Desk located in the hotel lobby. Additional technical assistance will be available at the Customer Service Desk located onsite at the OCCC, West Concourse, at the front of Hall WD2. Walk-in lines will also be available onsite, but appointments are strongly encouraged for the most expedited experience.

Yes, you will be able to cancel an appointment and re-set your time by texting HELP to 844.832.3521.

You will only be allowed to schedule one primary appointment at a time. However, we are offering a 2nd test onsite before you travel back to your home destination, should you opt for it.

Due to physical distancing, appointment only allow for one person. However, if you have a medical condition that requires assistance, please notify the Check-In desk when you arrive for your appointment.

In the unlikely event your desired date/time is not available, guests are encouraged to pre-test prior to arrival in Orlando. You can pre-test anytime withing 72 hours prior to your arrival (on or after February 5). If pre-testing is not an option for you, walk-in options are available starting on Sunday, February 7. Please note: walk-in availability is limited and will have longer wait times, so please plan accordingly.

Yes you will be reminded on your phone through an SMS message 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

All guests are asked to arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time.

Proceed to the check-in and let the ambassador know you missed your appointment.

If guests do not have a mobile phone or are unable to download the NAVICA app following arrival to testing area, they will be directed to a staging area where they will be given a number  (ie: slot) and placed in the testing queue. 

After testing, guests will be placed in a special designated waiting area to await their results.

Tests results will be confirmed visually from a US Mobile Health employee.

Guests with a negative result will be given a Pass Card with their test result and will then move to banning area in order to receive health screening wristband.

On-site Testing - Process Questions

Visitor will enter the testing area and sit at their own testing station. Visitor will perform the nasal swab per healthcare professional's instructions. Next the visitor’s sample is inserted into the test card, along with the reagent, and test results are usually interpreted in 15 minutes or less, using either the NAVICA app or a manual process with a printed sheet showing the visitor's test results.

The entire process with appointment will take approximately 30 minutes, while the Rapid Test takes 15 minutes to get the results.

Please allow yourself enough time to walk over to Hall D2 and take the Rapid Test, arriving 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

If you don't make an appointment and go through the Walk In Line this could take a significantly longer time based on demand at peak hours.

All on-site testing is located at The Orange County Convention Center, West Concourse, Hall D2.

Any positive COVID-19 test recieved, will be directed to Orlando Health for additional Tele-Health consultation and guidance.

Medical advice or guidance with regards to patient’s symptoms, medical condition, quarantine and/or isolation instructions, self-reporting or additional testing will be provided by Orlando Health or another authorized medical professional.

Guests unable to produce a health screening wristband will not able allowed entry to show floor.  

NAVICA App Questions

NAVICA TM is a complimentary mobile app developed by Abbott to pair with the BinaxNOW TM COVID-19 Ag Card test. The app allows people who test negative to get an encrypted temporary digital NAVICA Pass, similar to an airline boarding pass. Our security provider will be able to view and verify the information on a mobile device to facilitate entry into the event.

This is a new app that Abbott designed to pair with their BinaxNOW rapid antigen test for COVID-19. The app works on iPhone and Android devices and allows people to store, access and display their BinaxNOW test results so we can more confidently return to life.

If you are testing on-site you must make an appointment and download the NAVICA app for the best service.

You can also pre-test 72 hours (or under) before arriving and display your negative result.
